One PhD Student Position is available in the Laboratory of Organic Photochemistry
Title: Photoactive Compounds for Bioapplications
Required expertise: Organic synthesis; physical and physical organic chemistry; standard analytical methods (NMR, GC, HPLC); spectroscopy; and preferably photochemistry.

Description
We aim to recruit a talented, highly motivated, young scientist. The prospective student will use organic synthetic, physico-chemical, and spectroscopic tools to synthesize and study small-molecule organic photoactivatable and optically interesting compounds. The (photo)reaction mechanisms will be investigated using state-of-the-art techniques, such as time-resolved spectroscopy. Candidates should have a Master's certification in the area of organic or physical organic chemistry. The appointment will be available for up to 4 years. The Ph.D. position will be supported according to the local rules.
