The Institute of Law and Technology is the most important Czech expert workplace focused on the technological context of law and legal science. The Institute has a comprehensive research and teaching agenda in the fields of information technology law, intellectual property law, energy law and legal informatics. The Institute regularly participates in national and international project consortia, including excellent project formats, and cooperates with academic institutions, intergovernmental organisations, the highest judicial authorities, legislative institutions and representatives of legal and corporate practice in the Czech Republic and the EU. Your job will include:

  • Teaching in courses focused on information technology law in accredited study programmes and lifelong learning programmes, including the preparation of study guides,
  • scientific activities, including publications and applied research,
  • a significant share of project activity and contract research,
  • participation in the organisational and administrative support of scientific and pedagogical activities.

We require:

  • Master's degree in Law from the Faculty of Law,
  • Ph.D. degree (for the position of assistant professor),
  • ability to teach and publish in Czech,
  • qualified interest in the field of information technology,
  • information on the concurrent employment of an employee within the meaning of §70 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Universities, as amended,
  • the prerequisites for independent pedagogical work in the field of information technology law in the Czech and English languages, demonstrated by experience in pedagogical work at university,
  • the prerequisites for independent scientific work in the field of information technology law in the Czech and English languages, demonstrated by relevant professional publications or participation in scientific projects,
  • moral integrity.
