Non-academic Staff Member - Project Researcher II for the Department of Animal Nutrition and Forage Production
Research field: conducting experiments in the field of animal nutrition and forage quality
We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.
The Department of Animal Nutrition and Forage Production provides teaching and scientific activities in the field of nutrition of livestock and other animals - including its influence on the composition and quality of animal products; animal health and metabolism; technology of production, preservation, storage and treatment of feeds; feed consultancy; animal nutrition in organic agriculture and in the field of forage and grass production. The department provides teaching in Czech and English at all levels (bachelor, master and doctoral) of the Faculty of Agronomy and selected subjects also at other faculties of the University. The Institute also carries out laboratory and experimental activities related to animal nutrition and health.
What will be your job role?
- conducting research experiments in the field of animal nutrition and feed quality
- collection, analysis and processing of data from laboratory and field studies
- preparation of scientific publications, reports and presentations related to the research project
- participation in professional conferences, seminars and popularisation of research results
- providing administrative and technical support for research projects
- active participation in project meetings and preparation of grant applications
What are our requirements?
- a university degree at Ph.D. level with focus on animal nutrition and forage quality
- excellent knowledge of the Czech language at the level of a native speaker
- advanced knowledge of English
- experience in laboratory work including sample processing, data analysis and working with laboratory equipment
- experience in fatty acid analysis
- publication activity (h-index min. 2), ability to write scientific articles, reports, project applications
- active participation in research projects, experience with grant funding
Required research experience:
- experience in the implementation of experiments in the field of animal nutrition

Job status: 0,3 (12 hours per week)
Expected start: by agreement
